【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 수성구 범어공원 순환산책로가 보행 조명과 방범용 CCTV 덕분에 밤에도 편안하게 산책할 수 있는 공간으로 거듭났다.

수성구는 12일, 2026년 주민참여예산 사업의 일환으로 범어공원 순환산책로 곳곳에 볼라드형 보행 조명 459개와 CCTV 15대를 새로 설치했다고 밝혔다.

전체 길이 4.61㎞에 이르는 범어공원 순환산책로는 완만한 경사의 흙길 숲길로, 한 바퀴를 도는 데 약 1시간 30분이 걸린다. 맨발로 걷기에 적합한 구간도 마련돼 주민들의 사랑을 받고 있다.

그동안 이 산책로는 주로 낮 시간에만 이용됐다. 조명이 없어 퇴근 뒤나 밤 시간에 찾는 주민들은 불편을 겪어왔다. 하지만 이번 조명과 CCTV 설치로 그런 걱정이 한결 줄어들 전망이다.

수성구는 공원 숲과 자연 환경에 어울릴 수 있도록 10m 간격으로 낮은 높이의 볼라드형 조명을 골라 설치했다. 이 조명은 매일 일몰부터 자정, 또 오전 4시부터 일출까지 점등될 예정이다. 이용이 많지 않은 심야시간에는 상황에 따라 조명 시간대나 밝기를 조정한다는 계획도 세웠다.

치안 강화도 눈에 띈다. 새로 설치한 15대의 CCTV는 수성구 통합관제센터와 연동해 이달 안으로 24시간 실시간 관제를 시작한다.

이번 사업은 주민참여예산으로 선정돼 추진됐다. 수성구는 조명 설치로 주민들의 밤 산책 접근성을 높이고, CCTV를 통한 안전 관리로 더욱 안심할 수 있는 환경을 제공하겠다는 방침이다.

김대권 수성구청장은 "도심 속에서도 주민들이 자연과 함께 건강을 챙기고 쉴 수 있도록 범어공원을 잘 가꾸고 관리해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
