학교 측에 따르면, 이번 프로그램은 경북도 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업의 ‘로컬맞춤형 R&D’ 일환으로 마련됐다. 지난 3일부터 10일까지 간호학과 4학년 학생 36명을 대상으로 진행됐으며, 학생들은 식품, AI, 헬스케어를 아우르는 실습형 비교과 교육을 현장에서 직접 경험했다.

교육 과정은 하루 6시간씩 이어졌고, 학생들은 건강사정 기법을 토대로 AI 기반 건강정보를 분석했다. 또, 개인 맞춤형 영양상담과 환자 교육 자료를 직접 작성하는 등 실무 능력을 키웠다. 단순한 이론 설명에 그치지 않고, 임상 현장을 가정한 실제 사례 중심의 실습과 피드백도 이루어졌다. 이를 통해 학생들은 건강정보를 효과적으로 해석하고, 분석 결과를 환자 개개인에 맞는 간호와 교육에 적용하는 실전 역량을 키웠다.

박연자 간호학과 교수는 “학생들이 AI 기반 데이터 해석 역량을 갖추고, 이를 환자 맞춤 간호교육과 영양관리 등에 적극적으로 활용하는 것이 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 변화하는 의료 환경에 부합하는 현장 중심 실무교육을 강화해 나갈 계획”이라고 강조했다.

경북과학대는 이번 프로그램이 학생들의 임상 현장 적응력과 디지털 헬스케어 역량 강화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 내다봤다. 또한 실무 중심의 교육이 향후 학생들의 취업 경쟁력에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대하고 있다.
