민주당 대구시당은 지난 19일 제1차 상무위원회와 운영위원회를 열고 기초의회 대표협의회장과 5개 분과위원장 선임을 완료했다고 20일 밝혔다.

기초의회 대표협의회장에는 김두현 수성구의원이 임명됐다. 직능, 자치분권, 다문화, 교육연수, 홍보소통 등 5개 분과위원장도 새로 뽑았다. 여성, 청년, 노인위원장 등 주요 상설위원장은 별도 공모를 거쳐 선출할 계획이다.

이번 조직 정비는 지난 9일 제3차 정기당원대회에서 박형룡 신임 위원장이 선출된 이후 첫 공식 조직 개편이다. 시당은 기초의원 간 협력체계를 강화하고, 각 위원회를 중심으로 지역 현안과 당원 의견이 정책에 잘 반영될 수 있도록 한다는 방침이다.

박형룡 위원장은 앞서 18일 국회를 찾아 이광재 국회 예산결산특별위원장을 만나 대구 지역 주요 사업에 대한 지원을 요청했다. 특히 대구 국립뮤지컬콤플렉스 건립사업이 예비타당성조사 대상에 선정될 수 있도록 협조를 당부했다.

박 위원장은 “새로 꾸려진 조직을 통해 지역 현안은 물론 당원들의 다양한 목소리까지 꼼꼼히 챙기겠다”며 “국회와도 적극적으로 협의해 대구 지역 현안 해결에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The plan is to elect chairpersons for major standing committees, such as the Women, Youth, and Senior Citizens committees, through a separate open recruitment process.

This organizational restructuring marks the first official reorganization since the election of new Chairman Park Hyeong-ryong at the 3rd Regular Party Convention on the 9th. The City Chapter plans to strengthen the cooperative system among local council members and ensure that local issues and party members' opinions are effectively reflected in policy, centering on each committee. Chairman Park Hyung-ryong visited the National Assembly on the 18th to meet with Lee Kwang-jae, Chairman of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and requested support for major projects in the Daegu region. In particular, he urged cooperation to ensure that the construction project for the Daegu National Musical Complex is selected for a preliminary feasibility study.

Chairman Park stated, "Through the newly formed organization, I will meticulously attend to not only local issues but also the diverse voices of party members," adding, "I will actively consult with the National Assembly and do my utmost to resolve pending issues in the Daegu region."
