포항시는 지난 22일부터 11월 28일까지 15주 동안 매주 토요일 중앙상가 일원에서 '2026 중앙상가 거리문화행사'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

행사 첫날에는 '여름밤의 노래'를 주제로 싱어송라이터 공연이 열렸다. 중앙상가를 찾은 시민과 방문객들은 도심 속 거리에서 다양한 음악 공연을 즐겼다.

9월에는 청소년과 가족 단위 방문객을 겨냥한 '키즈&틴 페스타'가 마련된다. 청소년 댄스와 밴드 공연을 비롯해 마술과 마임, 거리 버스킹 등 참여형 프로그램이 중앙상가 곳곳에서 진행될 예정이다.

행사의 마지막 달인 11월에는 '2026 Re 피날레'가 열린다. 팝페라와 클래식 등 여러 장르의 공연을 진행하며, 11월 28일 자유공연을 끝으로 15주간 이어진 거리문화행사의 막을 내린다.

Pohang Mayor Park Yong-seon stated, "I hope this serves as an opportunity to revive the memories and sentiments of citizens embedded in the Jungang Shopping District and transform it into a cultural space that people want to revisit and linger in."
