【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=계명대학교 소속 교수들이 집필한 ESG 경영과 포스트 성장 시대를 다룬 학술서 두 권이 2026년 세종도서에 선정됐다.

계명대는 권순환 경영학과 교수가 쓴 『사례로 배우는 ESG 경영전략』과 임운택 사회학과 교수를 비롯한 11명의 연구자가 함께 집필한 『포스트 성장 시대와 사회학의 관계』가 2026년 세종도서로 뽑혔다고 밝혔다.

올해 세종도서에는 총 2,194종의 책이 접수됐으며, 이 중 345종이 최종 선정됐다. 선정된 도서들은 전국 공공도서관, 대학도서관, 작은도서관, 문학관, 군부대 도서관, 해외 문화시설 등에 배포될 예정이다.

『사례로 배우는 ESG 경영전략』은 ESG의 개념과 역사, 이해관계자 이론을 토대로 경영학, 경제학, 법학, 사회학, 환경학 등 다양한 시각에서 ESG 경영을 해설했다. 기업의 인수합병과 전략적 제휴 같은 주요 활동을 경영자원론, CSV, 대리인 이론 등과 연결해 설명하고, 국내외 다양한 기업 사례를 들어 이론과 실제를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 구성했다.

『포스트 성장 시대와 사회학의 관계』는 저성장, 기후위기, 불평등, 디지털 전환이 동시에 진전되는 현 시기를 ‘포스트 성장 사회’라는 틀로 분석한 책이다. 사회이론, 국가, 노동, 돌봄, 계층을 중심으로 자본주의 사회의 구조적 모순과 제도 변화, 생태적 지속가능성, 분배 정의, 사회적 행복을 중시하는 새로운 사회 방향을 모색했다.

세종도서 사업은 학술적·공익적 가치가 높은 도서를 선정해 공공 및 교육기관에 보급함으로써 국민의 독서문화를 확산하고 학술·출판 분야의 발전을 돕기 위해 추진되고 있다.

이번에 선정된 두 권은 대학·연구기관의 교육 및 연구 자료로 활용될 뿐만 아니라 기업의 ESG 전략 수립이나 공공기관의 지속가능 정책, 사회 전환 논의 등 다양한 분야에서 참고자료로 사용될 것으로 기대를 모은다.

특히, 각각 기업의 지속가능 경영 전략과 성장 중심 사회를 비판적으로 성찰한 두 책이 빠르게 변화하는 사회 및 경제 환경에 대한 학술적 시각을 넓히는 데 의미가 크다는 평가를 받고 있다.

Two academic books covering ESG management and the post-growth era, authored by professors at Keimyung University, have been selected as Sejong Books for 2026.

Keimyung University announced that *ESG Management Strategy Learned Through Case Studies*, written by Professor Kwon Soon-hwan of the Department of Business Administration, and *The Relationship Between the Post-Growth Era and Sociology*, co-authored by 11 researchers including Professor Lim Woon-taek of the Department of Sociology, were selected as Sejong Books for 2026.

A total of 2,194 titles were submitted for this year's Sejong Books, of which 345 were ultimately selected. The selected books are scheduled to be distributed to public libraries, university libraries, small libraries, literary museums, military libraries, and overseas cultural facilities nationwide.

*ESG Management Strategy Learned Through Case Studies* explains ESG management from various perspectives—including business administration, economics, law, sociology, and environmental studies—based on the concepts, history, and stakeholder theory of ESG. The book explains major corporate activities, such as mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances, by connecting them to concepts like resource-based management, CSV, and agency theory. It is structured to facilitate an easy understanding of both theory and practice through various domestic and international corporate case studies.

*The Relationship Between the Post-Growth Era and Sociology* analyzes the current era, characterized by the simultaneous advancement of low growth, the climate crisis, inequality, and digital transformation, within the framework of a "post-growth society." Focusing on social theory, the state, labor, care, and social stratification, the book explores a new societal direction that prioritizes structural contradictions and institutional changes within capitalist society, as well as ecological sustainability, distributive justice, and social happiness.

The Sejong Books Project is implemented to promote a reading culture among the public and support the development of the academic and publishing sectors by selecting books of high academic and public value and distributing them to public and educational institutions.

The two books selected this time are expected to serve not only as educational and research materials for universities and research institutes but also as reference materials in various fields, such as the formulation of corporate ESG strategies, sustainability policies for public institutions, and discussions on social transition. In particular, the two books, which critically reflect on corporate sustainable management strategies and a growth-oriented society respectively, are highly regarded for their significance in broadening academic perspectives on the rapidly changing social and economic environment.
