예천군은 김제덕(양궁), 나마디 조엘진(육상 100m), 남태풍(창던지기) 선수가 태극마크를 달고 오는 9월 19일부터 10월 4일까지 열리는 ‘2026 아이치·나고야 아시안게임’에 출전한다고 7일 밝혔다.

기초지방자치단체 직장운동경기부에서 서로 다른 종목의 선수 3명이 동시에 국가대표로 발탁된 것은 이례적인 사례로, 예천군의 체육 경쟁력을 보여주는 성과로 평가된다.

예천군은 이날 군청에서 세 선수에 대한 격려 행사를 열고 아시안게임에서의 선전을 기원했다. 군민 5만4천여 명의 응원도 함께 전했다.

양궁 국가대표 김제덕 선수는 지난 6월 열린 국가대표 선발전에서 1위를 차지하며 대표팀에 합류했다. 올림픽과 아시안게임 등 국제무대 경험을 갖춘 김 선수는 이번 대회에서도 정상급 기량을 앞세워 메달 사냥에 나선다.
