【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교가 외국인 유학생들이 대학 생활은 물론 한국에서의 일상에 원활하게 적응할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 마련했다.

대구한의대 국제처 유학생지원팀은 지난달 28일과 이달 3일, 외국인 신입생과 편입생을 대상으로 '2026학년도 2학기 동기유발학기'를 진행했다.

이 프로그램에서는 대학생활에 꼭 필요한 정보를 제공하고, 한국 생활에서 겪을 수 있는 언어, 금융, 통신, 안전 등 여러 문제에 어떻게 대응해야 하는지 안내했다.

특히 국제처장 환영사에서는 실시간 AI 통역 자막 프로그램이 도입됐다. 대학 측은 AI 기반 통역 기술을 활용해, 외국인 학생들이 별도의 통역 없이도 행사 내용을 이해할 수 있도록 지원했다.

프로그램에서는 각 학과의 교원을 소개하고, 수강 신청 및 대학생활에 필요한 기본 사항도 자세히 설명했다. 또, 하나은행, KT, 경산경찰서 등 다양한 기관이 함께 참여해 실질적인 도움을 제공했다. 하나은행은 계좌 개설과 금융사기 예방 요령을 안내했고, KT는 휴대전화 개통과 통신 서비스 이용 방법을 설명했다. 경산경찰서는 외국인 유학생들에게 보이스피싱, 성폭력, 마약, 교통 안전 등 꼭 알아야 할 주의사항에 대해 교육했다.

행사 마지막에는 대학 대표 캐릭터 인형과 기념사진을 촬영하며 모두가 즐거운 시간을 보냈다. 대학 측은 이를 통해 신입생들이 구성원으로서 소속감을 느끼고 새로운 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 도왔다.

남미경 대구한의대 교학부총장은 “유학생 한 명 한 명이 대구한의대학교의 미래를 함께 만들어갈 소중한 주인공”이라며, 새로운 환경에서도 적극적으로 도전해 달라고 당부했다.

송지청 대구한의대 국제처장은 “이번 동기유발학기가 신입생과 편입생이 대학 생활에 안정적으로 적응하고 힘차게 출발하는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 유학생들이 성공적으로 대학 생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 지원을 계속하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Haany University has organized various programs to help international students smoothly adapt to both campus life and daily life in Korea.

The International Affairs Office’s International Student Support Team conducted a "Motivation-Building Program" for new and transfer international students on the 28th of last month and the 3rd of this month.

The Gyeongsan Police Station educated students on critical safety issues, including voice phishing, sexual violence, drug abuse, and traffic safety.

The event concluded with a photo session featuring the university’s mascot, allowing everyone to enjoy a pleasant time together. Through these activities, the university helped new students foster a sense of belonging and successfully adjust to their new environment.
