동구청은 시장별 여건과 상인 요구를 꼼꼼히 살펴, 시설 개선과 고객 편의 향상, 시장 경쟁력 강화를 위한 실질적인 대책을 마련할 계획이다. 상인회에서 제시한 의견들은 관련 부서의 검토를 거쳐 정책에 적극 반영할 방침이다.

동구청 관계자는 "전통시장은 지역민의 일상과 밀접한 만큼, 현장과의 소통을 이어가며 시장별 특색에 맞는 지원책을 발굴해 지역경제 활성화로 연결할 계획"이라고 강조했다.

우성진 동구청장은 “현장의 목소리를 듣고, 상인들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적 지원 방안을 마련하는 게 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 상인회와 꾸준히 소통하며 전통시장 활성화와 지역경제 발전을 위해 현장 중심 행정을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
