【브레이크뉴스 울릉】전종환 기자=울릉군이 추석 명절을 맞아 고향을 찾는 출향인과 가족들의 여객선 운임 부담을 덜기 위해 귀성객 대상 여객운임 할인에 나선다.
울릉군은 오는 9월 23일부터 28일까지 6일간 포항~울릉 항로를 이용하는 귀성객을 대상으로 여객운임 할인 행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 할인은 2025년 추석과 2026년 설 명절에 중단됐던 귀성객 운임 지원을 다시 시행하는 것이다. 군은 여객선사와 협의를 거쳐 할인 기간과 적용 좌석, 할인율 등 세부 사항을 확정했다.
행사에는 울릉크루즈와 대저페리가 참여한다. 울릉크루즈의 뉴씨다오펄호는 6인실 IN·SEA실과 4인실 IN실에 대해 기본운임의 20%를 할인하고, 대저페리의 엘도라도 익스프레스호는 전 좌석을 대상으로 30% 할인 혜택을 제공한다.
할인 신청은 9월 16일부터 20일 오후 6시까지 받는다. 신청자는 먼저 이용할 여객선사에 승선권을 예약한 뒤 울릉군청 누리집에서 할인 신청을 해야 한다.
군청 누리집에서 할인 신청만 하는 경우 여객선 승선권이 자동으로 예약되는 것은 아니어서 사전에 선사 예약을 완료해야 한다.
울릉군은 군청 누리집을 비롯해 울릉알리미와 현수막 등을 활용해 귀성객들에게 할인 일정과 신청 절차를 안내할 예정이다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “귀성객 여객운임 할인 재개를 위해 적극 협조해 주신 여객선사에 감사드린다”며 “이번 지원이 고향을 찾는 출향인과 가족들의 경제적 부담을 조금이나마 덜고 따뜻한 추석을 보내는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Applications for the discount will be accepted from September 16 until 6:00 PM on September 20. Applicants must first book their tickets with the ferry company and then apply for the discount via the Ulleung-gun Office website.
