On the 19th, the Namsan-dong Auto Parts Alley in Daegu—a district with a history spanning over 50 years—will host the "2026 Daegu Street Motor Festival," featuring a diverse array of vehicles such as supercars, tuned cars, and camping cars.

Spanning a 500-meter stretch, the festival is hosted by the Namsan-dong Auto Alley Merchants Association and organized by the DSMF Organizing Committee, with support from Daegu City and the Jung-gu Office. Approximately 60 unique vehicles, including supercars, tuned cars, and camping cars, will be on display. Notably, the "Ioniq 5N" electric race car from the racing team "Wens Inje Podium" will be showcased, bringing a fresh twist to an area traditionally dominated by internal combustion engine vehicles.

The festival offers various interactive programs for visitors. Activities include the "My Top Pick Tuned Car Contest," where attendees can vote for their favorite modified vehicle, as well as mini-car curling, an RC car experience zone, and a flea market. It is an event designed for everyone to enjoy, from automotive enthusiasts to families.

Programs aimed at revitalizing the local commercial district are also a highlight. The "Namsan-dong Customer Day" will feature events such as prize giveaways involving products from the auto alley, discount reservation offers, roulette games, and a free bazaar, all designed to encourage festival-goers to patronize local businesses.

This event goes beyond a simple vehicle exhibition; it aims to inform citizens about the industrial value and history of the Namsan-dong Auto Parts Alley while breathing new life into a local commercial district that has faced a downturn.

The Namsan-dong Auto Parts Alley is a representative automotive commercial district in Daegu. While it has long been a hub for auto parts and repair businesses, changes in industrial structure and a slump in the commercial area had created a need for a new breakthrough. Through this festival, Jung-gu aims to revitalize the local commercial district and attract a diverse range of visitors—spanning all generations—by blending experiential and tourism elements with the unique industrial identity of the "Car Alley."

Ryu Gyu-ha, Mayor of Jung-gu, stated, "We are supporting this event to preserve the value of the Namsan-dong Car Alley, which boasts a long history." He added, "With a wide array of attractions and hands-on programs prepared, I ask for the public's keen interest and active participation."
