대구경북경제자유구역청(DGFEZ)은 15일 청사 6층 비즈니스룸에서 케온솔루션, 대구한의대학교와 경산지식산업지구 투자 및 산학협력을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

협약식에는 김희석 DGFEZ 청장 직무대행과 박정철 케온솔루션 대표, 변창훈 대구한의대학교 총장 등이 참석했다.

케온솔루션은 오는 2028년까지 경산지식산업지구 내 4,749㎡ 규모 부지에 약 100억원을 투입해 화장품 및 생활세제 원료 제조시설을 구축할 예정이다. 공장이 가동되면 28명의 신규 고용도 이뤄질 전망이다.

케온솔루션은 2020년 설립된 화학제품 제조기업으로 계면활성제 등을 생산하고 있다. 현재 경기도 하남시와 대구광역시에 사업장을 운영하고 있으며, 지난해 매출액은 약 147억원을 기록했다.

회사는 경산에 신규 생산시설을 마련해 제조 역량을 확대하고 사업 영역을 넓혀갈 계획이다.

이번 투자는 제조시설 신설에만 초점을 맞춘 것이 아니라 지역 대학과 연계한 산학협력도 함께 추진한다는 점이 특징이다.

대구한의대학교는 케온솔루션의 기술개발과 사업화, 전문인력 양성 등을 지원하고 기업의 안정적인 지역 정착을 돕는다. 양측은 향후 기업과 대학의 협력 분야를 확대할 수 있는 방안도 지속적으로 발굴할 예정이다.

DGFEZ는 기업의 투자계획이 원활하게 추진될 수 있도록 행정 지원에 나서는 한편, 경산지식산업지구의 산업 특성과 연계할 수 있는 기업 유치와 입주기업 지원을 이어간다는 방침이다.

On the 15th, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZ) announced that it had signed a business agreement with Keon Solution and Daegu Haany University regarding investment in the Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District and industry-academia cooperation. The signing ceremony was held in the business room on the 6th floor of the DGFEZ headquarters.

Attendees included Kim Hee-seok, Acting Commissioner of DGFEZ; Park Jeong-cheol, CEO of Keon Solution; and Byun Chang-hoon, President of Daegu Haany University.

Keon Solution plans to invest approximately 10 billion won by 2028 to build a manufacturing facility for cosmetics and household detergent raw materials on a 4,749-square-meter site within the Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District. Once the plant becomes operational, it is expected to create 28 new jobs.

Established in 2020, Keon Solution is a chemical manufacturing company that produces items such as surfactants. It currently operates facilities in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, and Daegu Metropolitan City, and recorded sales of approximately 14.7 billion won last year.

The company intends to expand its manufacturing capabilities and business scope by establishing this new production facility in Gyeongsan.

A key feature of this investment is that it focuses not only on building new manufacturing facilities but also on pursuing industry-academia cooperation with a local university.

Daegu Haany University will support Keon Solution in areas such as technology development, commercialization, and workforce training, helping the company successfully settle in the region. Both parties also plan to continuously identify ways to expand their cooperative efforts in the future. DGFEZ plans to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth implementation of corporate investment plans, while continuing to attract companies that align with the industrial characteristics of the Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District and supporting tenant companies.

Kim Hee-seok, Acting Commissioner of DGFEZ, stated, “This is a collaborative case combining corporate investment, university-industry cooperation, and support from the Free Economic Zone Authority,” adding that they would continue to attract companies that enhance the industrial competitiveness of the Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District.
