The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration (Director Kim Han-sik, hereafter referred to as Daegyeong Small and Medium Business Administration) announced that it would recruit companies eligible for support for the '2022 Smart Manufacturing Innovation Technology Development Project'.

The smart manufacturing innovation technology development project is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT for technology development of smart factory suppliers that play a key role in the advancement of smart factories.

The smart factory supply and diffusion policy is a key policy that the government is promoting as a national task this time, and it was found that on average, the companies that build smart factories have improved competitiveness by increasing productivity by 28.5%, improving quality by 42.5%, and reducing cost by 15.5%.

Thanks to these achievements, it is expected that about 25,000 smart factories will be supplied by the end of this year.

In particular, next year, the public and private sectors will cooperate to supply more than 5,000 smart factories and focus on upgrading smart factories that can dramatically increase the efficiency of smart factories.

The detailed business of the integrated public notice consists of six fields: general type single smart factory, specialized type single smart factory, digital cooperation district (cluster), manufacturing data utilization support, smart factory test bench (test bed), level check and consulting.

The general type single smart factory provides customized support by dividing the smart factory level into basic, advanced 1, and advanced 2 based on the job sites of individual demanding companies and smart factory operation capabilities.

In detail, it is divided into the government-only support type, which is distributed on a regional basis through 19 Technoparks (TPs) across the country, and the win-win type between large and small businesses, all providing differential support according to the level.

As the spread of smart factories has spread, next year, more than half (63.4%) of the budget will be invested in upgrading to expand investment in cutting-edge smart factories to which artificial intelligence, big data, and digital replicas (digital twins) are applied.

A total of KRW 30 billion, increased from the previous year, will also be provided for win-win growth between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which have achieved success, such as establishing a system that can mass-produce LDS vaccines within a short period of time.

In addition, it supports the establishment of a specialized smart factory that differentiates support methods and contents from general smart factories in consideration of technology, industry, and support goals.

First, the K-Smart Lighthouse Factory plans to designate 15 new companies, and unlike the general smart factory project, it will support up to KRW 1.2 billion (KRW 400 million per year) for three years.

We will promote specialized distribution (23 billion won) for each industry that distributes common solutions to companies with similar processes and industries.

Associations and organizations by industry with expertise and representation will strengthen connectivity between companies through integrated management from demand discovery to strategy establishment and implementation, and support the efficient distribution of smart factories.

Companies that want to improve processes using robots can apply for the 'Robot-Utilized Manufacturing Innovation Support' project.

A total of KRW 18.1 billion is provided to around 60 companies, and the support conditions are within KRW 300 million per company.

4 billion won will be provided to build a carbon-neutral smart factory to improve energy efficiency, such as an energy management system and high-efficiency facility object, targeting high-carbon emission industries such as root companies.

The digital cooperation district (cluster) construction project goes beyond individual factory-centered smartization support, and enables smart factories of many companies such as value chains or cooperative companies to manage materials through data and network-based interconnection, from material management to ordering, production, distribution, and marketing. It is a project that supports us to do things together.

In particular, this project supports the establishment of a smart factory in the form of a cooperative district (cluster) that connects data and networks between collaborating companies. Various collaborative businesses are possible with digital technology.

We support the utilization of manufacturing data by small and medium-sized enterprises through the artificial intelligence small and medium-sized venture manufacturing platform (hereinafter referred to as KAMP).

First, it supports the establishment of artificial intelligence algorithms, such as the establishment of solutions that diagnose failures in the manufacturing process in advance.

For demanding companies, we plan to support customized analysis models linked with KAMP as a package (up to 70 million won per company) so that they can be applied to actual sites from expert consulting.

In addition, it is planning to establish and operate a ‘manufacturing data facilitator training project’ so that small and medium-sized enterprises can have manufacturing data utilization capabilities.

A specialized educational institution is selected to support in-depth education and practice courses such as analysis and utilization of manufacturing data using KAMP for 8 months for incumbents in manufacturing companies.

Through this, comprehensive support for manufacturing data storage and analysis infrastructure, artificial intelligence analysis tools and standard models (datasets), consulting/education, and demonstration services will be provided. billions of dollars in support.

A smart factory test bed (test bed) will be additionally created where companies planning to build a smart factory can test and experience the factory environment after introduction and demonstrate applied technology.

Currently, test beds (test beds) have been established in two domestic locations (Jeonnam and Busan) to support the advancement of smart factory technology by introducing and supplying companies.

In order to expand to other regions next year, one regional manufacturing innovation center (techno park) with capacity will be selected and provided with 1.5 billion won first, followed by a total of 4.8 billion won, including 3.3 billion won for upgrading in the next year.

We plan to provide support by focusing on the establishment of a carbon-neutral specialized test bed (test bed) that is specialized for regional key industries and that can support the environment, energy, and distribution and logistics.

The entire cost of verifying the smart factory level (up to 1 million won per company) is provided for companies that have built a smart factory on their own by the private sector or have upgraded a smart factory without government support among participating companies.

Applicants can receive smart factory upgrade guidelines (guidelines) along with checking the level of smartization, and can receive preferential treatment when supplying to public institutions or applying for policy funds.

In addition, smart experts (Meisters) are supported (up to 11.34 million won per company) to resolve difficulties in the field related to the introduction and operation of smart factories.

In addition, in order to improve smart system utilization for companies that build smart factories, A/S costs such as upgrading solutions and replacing key parts will be supported up to a maximum of KRW 20 million per company.

In the future, details of support targets, support contents, and support conditions will be provided through announcements for each detailed project. .
