【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 소방안전관리과는 2020년 소방공무원 경력채용에서 최종 9명이 합격했다고 2일 밝혔다.

이 학과는 전국 70개의 소방관련학과 졸업생을 대상으로 시행되는 소방공무원 경력채용 모집인원 198명 중 최종 9명을 합격시켰다. 전국대학 해당학과 대상 평균 배정인원 2.8명에 비하면 단연 돋보이는 수치다. 소방안전관리과는 현재까지 총 390명의 소방공무원을 배출했다.

대구 최초로 개설된 소방안전관리과는 28주년을 맞이한 올해까지 모두 2,496명의 소방기술자와 소방공무원을 배출하며 소방분야의 최고의 학과로 명성을 날리고 있다.

경북소방본부에 합격한 김지연(21)씨는“유치원에서 소방서를 견학을 했을 때부터 소방관이 꿈이었는데 졸업과 동시에 합격하며 꿈을 이뤘다”며“학교에서 배운 소방기술을 바탕으로 섬세하고 친근한 소방관이 되어 안전한 경북을 만드는데 기여하겠다.”고 포부를 밝혔다.

이어 경북소방본부에 합격한 정인찬(24)씨는“소방관의 꿈을 가지고 소방학과에 지원했고 재학 중에도 꾸준히 체력시험을 준비하며 합격을 위해 노력했다”며“학과 후배인 남동생도 소방관이 되어 형제 소방관으로서 함께 대한민국의 안전을 책일 질 수 있길 바란다”고 전했다.

추홍록 학과장은“명확한 목표를 가지고 진로를 결정한 학생들이기 때문에 수업 분위기가 좋았고, 합격선배가 제공하는 수험정보와 전국 최초로 마련된‘소방공무원 체력시험장’을 활용한 시험 준비로 좋은 결과를 낸 것 같다”며“소방공무원이 국가직으로 전환된 것과 더불어 앞으로도 몇 년 동안은 대규모 채용계획까지 발표되어있어 소방공무원에 도전하는 학생들에게 좋은 기회가 될 것이다”고 말했다.
