경북과학대 김현정 총장은 “이번 협약으로 평생 교육과 지역 경제 활성화를 위한 양 기관의 활동 범위가 더욱 확대될 것으로 기대된다”며 “양 기관의 주요 프로그램이 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있도록 실질적인 협력과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
