계명대(총장 신일희)가 중소벤처기업부와 창업진흥원 주관 ‘2021 예비창업패키지 사업’일반분야 주관기관에 최종 선정되며 11년 연속 창업 지원 기관 선정이라는 기록과 창업지원 거점기관의 입지를 다시 한 번 확인했다.

계명대에 따르면 '예비창업패키지' 사업은 유망 창업 아이템과 고급기술을 보유한 예비창업자의 사업화 지원과 지역창업 활성화 프로그램 운영 등 창업의 모든 과정을 지원한다. 예비창업패키지에 선정되는 기업은 사업비지원, 멘토링지원 뿐만 아니라 판로/투자 연계, 라이브커머스 지원, 글로벌온라인 판로지원의 혜택을 받게 된다.

계명대 창업지원단은 이번 사업 선정으로 캠퍼스기반 창업액셀러레이팅 창업거점 기관의 역할을 다 한다는 계획이다. 이를 위해 창업자를 단계적으로 지원하게 된다. 창업자를 선발하고 사전단계를 통해 창업자 역량 및 경력, 보유기술 및 기업 경영단계 등 기업분석을 하고, 1단계 사업준비 과정을 통해 창업자-멘토-매니저 전담제를 운영, 창업자간 네트워킹 구축을 지원하게 된다. 2단계 사업준비 기간에는 시제품제작 및 장비지원과 함께 외부 전문가 멘토링을 통해 제품의 완성도를 높인다. 3단계는 마케팅 및 기술역량 단계로 국내외 판로개척을 지원하고 타 기관 창업지원 사업 연계를 지원한다. 마지막 4단계는 투자 및 엑셀러레이팅 단계로 투자유치 지원에 나선다.

계명대는 지난 3년 동안 예비창업패키지, 초기창업패키지, 중장년기술창업센터지원사업, 이노캠퍼스지원사업 등을 통해 262개의 기업을 지원하였고 매출 764억 원과 553명의 신규고용을 창출하고,  창업기업 투자유치는 43여억 원 성과를 달성했다. 특히, 2019년에 창업해 예비창업패키지 프로그램에 참가한 온라인 쇼핑몰 물류시스템 적용 자동제품 분류기 회사인 오토텍(주)은 7배의 매출증대 성과를 거두었다. 미세 와이어 기반의 봉제제품 탑침 개발에 성공한 ㈜HD정밀은 2020년에 창업해 매출을 발생시키고 94천 달러의 일본 수출을 달성하며 성장에 가속도를 붙이고 있다.

김창완 계명대학교 창업지원단장은 "2011년 창업선도대학육성사업부터 지금까지 쌓아온 창업지원 역량을 집중하여 예비창업자들이 창업에 성공할 수 있도록 모든 노력을 다 하겠다."며, “이를 통해 지역에 기반을 둔 우수기업 육성과 일자리 창출로 지역경제 발전에도 이바지 할 수 있기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.

한편, 계명대는1998년 중소기업청 대구∙경북 창업보육센터 지정을 시작으로 지금까지 지역 창업기업의 역량확대와 지역창업인프라 조성, 청년창업자교육 확대 등 창업의 전반적인 분야에서 다양한 역할을 수행하며 지역 거점 창업기관으로 성장해 왔다. 2019년에는 창업기업 지원 육성의 공로를 인정받아 중소벤처기업부장관표창을 수상하기도 했다.

During the past three years, Keimyung University has supported 262 companies through preliminary start-up packages, early start-up packages, middle-aged technology start-up center support projects, and Inno Campus support projects, creating sales of 76.4 billion won and 553 new hires, and investing in start-up companies.
