Planting the seeds of hope in the peace garden

Asia-Pacific Peace Exchange Association, published in Asia, liberal arts magazine, 10,000 won

Now that the Corona 19 pandemic is sweeping the global village, what human society is recognizing is the fact that peace in daily life is the basic condition of a happy life. However, as humans forget the preciousness of oxygen in the air, they forget it and live. Then, only after facing a disaster such as a war, we rethink the value of peace.

That awakening and awareness is the “seed of peace”. A book (Peace Friend) was published in December of last year to grow a “Peace Garden” or a “Peace Pot” that will often remind you of the peace within yourself, the peace of the people, and the peace of mankind with the seeds that each human being keeps within.

It is a new quarterly magazine “Peace Friends” launched by the Asia-Pacific Peace Exchange Association (hereinafter referred to as the Asia-Pacific Association). Publisher Ahn Bu-soo (representative of the Asia-Pacific Association) and editor Lee Dae-hwan (writer) wished this way at the founding company.

“We plant gardens and we also plant weekend farms. 'Peace Friend' takes on the role of a small field that nurtures the seeds and hope of peace. Peace in everyday life, peace for our people, and furthermore, peace for humanity, and the peace of the Muju-ju marriage left by colonialism and the violence of war all over the world. The'Peace Friend' is someone's'Peace Garden' or'Peace I aspire to be a'weekend farm'. No, it will be worthwhile and worth not wishing for more even if it is placed as a “peace pot” in someone's living room or office.”

'Peace Friend' consists of several fixed pages as the basic framework for editing and the foundation of the spirit of the founding. 'Meeting peace in world masterpieces and scriptures','Going to the field of excavation of the remains of forced mobilization from Japan and repatriation of the country','The scars of the Japanese colonial strength left in Korean literature','Peace friends we should remember', These include'Peace Friends of Our Neighbors','I want to run the path of national peace','Peace within me','Echo of peace', and'Peace Post Office'.

In the first issue, Professor Bang Min-ho of Seoul National University's Department of Korean Literature's'We Are Living in the Fest Era' reads Alber Camus' novel'Fest' with the eyes of peace, and in'Gernica, the Flower of Peace Overcoming Despair' by Youngjae Ryu, Picasso's Enduring peace in'Guernica', music columnist Ha Jong-wook's'Panorama of despair and hope, the history of tango', the desire for peace flowing through tango, and the violence of religious fundamentalism through'Boy Ahmed', head of Owl Film History, Kim Dong-hwan. You can meet a human story that overcomes. “Peace” embraced by the scriptures, which is the source of the human spirit, begins with “Thesis, Rereading” by Park Hang-jun, Vice Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Association.

This is a series of a series of experiences by Ahn Buso-soo, the representative of the Asia-Pacific Association, on the excavation of the remains of victims of forced mobilization from Japan and the rehabilitation of their motherland. The Asia-Pacific Association is a national civic group that has taken the lead since 2004 in the practice of its historical responsibility that the government and the people have neglected for nearly 60 years after liberation. The struggles and labor of excavating the remains that have been neglected like useless stone sculptures in other foreign lands and bringing them into the arms of the mountain stream in Korea are the work of resolving the long-standing grudges of many muju-ju spirits to provide rest and peace. The reason for serializing the'Scars of the Japanese Empire's Strengths Left in Korean Literature' is to heal the bitter memories of the past so that they can be reborn as a language of peace. do.

In'Echo of Peace', the '2018 Asia-Pacific Peace Prosperity Conference Joint Announcement' attended by the North Korean delegation, who should return to the echo of peace, including'When the Day When Peace Erupted', an insight into the path of national peace by writer Dae-Hwan Lee. , Poems by poets Lim Jong-cheol and Jeong Ki-bok, who sang the wish for national peace.'Peace Friends We Must Remember' commemorates the post-Vietnam post-war representative writer Ban Le, and'Peace in Me' contains six pieces. Calm essays unfold the peace of everyday life.

It is a corner that captures the voices of corporations and local governments waiting for the day when “I want to run the path of national peace” peacefully penetrates the DMZ of the armistice line. In the first issue, we meet Ssangbangwool Group and open the way.

In addition, “Peace Friend” is specially preparing “Ahn Jung-geun's Gunshot, Oriental Peace Bells” to commemorate the 111th anniversary of Harbin's reign (October 26, 2020), who was in the process of preparing for the first issue. It provides an opportunity to re-read the “Oriental Peace Theory,” left by Dr. Ahn as an unfinished Yugoslavia.
