“Munjeonseong-si” Gyeongbuk Yeongdeok Golf Course Management is eager to make money behind the scenes” Golfer's dissatisfaction is skyrocketing
It is pointed out that the golf course industry, which is enjoying a boom amid the spread of Corona 19, should also improve the quality of service to meet increasing demand. In spite of the crowds of tourists, customer complaints are increasing as course management is focused only on making money on the human body behind the scenes.
In the case of Golf Course A in Yeongdeok, Gyeongsangbuk-do, this phenomenon has been particularly struck, and customers are thinking about it.
On the 17th, weekend golfer B, living in Daegu City, went out to a golf course in the east coast of Gyeongbuk with his colleagues. Even having lost sleep at night, swelling in anticipation, turned into disappointment before the first hall was over for a while.
According to Mr. B, “Almost all tea boxes were laid with old artificial turf mats, and there were more grassy areas on the fairway than in the good ones,” he said.
“Green was so messy that it couldn't be called green. It was difficult to tell whether it was a fairway or a green because of the grass that was also attached to it,” he expressed dissatisfaction.
At the same time, he said, “Before the tee-up, when the caddy asked for your understanding, saying that the green was not good, even laughing came out. In this way, if the green is poor enough to ask golfers for understanding, it makes sense to stop the business, repair it, and then hit the insider.
On the same day, Mr. C, in his 50s in Pohang, also complained about Green. He said, “In some cases, if you putt lightly, the ball flows along the seams of the grass for repairs, and you may not be able to laugh. He said that about 3/2 of the green was almost the same," he said. "As golfers crowded with Corona 19, they wouldn't go to this golf course, which is in business with balls."
Also, Mr. C, who came from Pohang, said that the caddies, called “pushing out,” urged the caddies to progress quickly, as if they were driving rabbits. There was a good reason for these caddies' actions. The voice of encouraging the speedy progress of the game progress department was clearly heard over the radios that were raised enough for golfers to hear if they were even a little behind. "After eye contact with a caddy who couldn't do this or that with an embarrassing expression, I was anxious and busy looking at the caddy rather than having to enjoy golf."
Meanwhile, Golf Course A in Yeongdeok was ranked second among golf courses in Gyeongbuk Province this year with the most money. Based on the 27 hole, it earned 19.9 billion won, an increase of 1.6 billion won from 18.3 billion won before the corona crisis. Gyeongju CC ranked first with 20.4 billion won, and Qingdao Grace CC ranked third with 18.4 billion won.
In addition, 9-hole public golf courses appeared in Gyeongju Angang Legend GC, Pohang Cheong High Stone CC, and Gyeongju Sunrich GC. The operating profit growth rate reached a maximum of 150%.
