한국건강관리협회(회장 채종일) 기생충박물관(이하 기생충박물관)이 오는 2022년 1월 4일까지 약 4개월간 특별기획전시(손운목교수 기증展) ‘밥상머리 기생충’전시를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

13일, 한국건강관리협회에 따르면 이번 전시는 경상대학교 의과대학 기생충학 손운목 명예교수가 기증한 자료들을 바탕으로 전시되었으며 인류 존멸의 역사와 함께해 온 음식 속 식품매개기생충과 그 예방법을 소개하기 위해 기획됐다.

 

관람은 코로나19 상황으로 인해 사전 예약제로 운영되며 기생충박물관 홈페이지(http://parasite.or.kr)를 통하여 예약 가능하다.

 

운영시간은 평일 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00 총 4차례와 토요일 10:00, 11:00, 13:00 총 3차례 운영되며 일요일, 공휴일, 한국건강관리협회 창립기념일(11월7일)은 휴관이다. 

 

한국건강관리협회 채종일 회장은“이번 전시를 통해 국민에게 기생충을 보다 쉽게 알릴 수 있는 기회가 되었으면 한다.”며“앞으로도 기생충 소장 자료의 체계적 보존 및 연구, 관리에 더욱 박차를 가하여 전문박물관으로서의 역할에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

 

한편 경상대학교 의과대학 기생충학 손운목 명예교수는 지난 2020년 12월 다양한 기생충에 대해 알리기 위해 한국건강관리협회 기생충박물관에 총 230여 점의 기생충 표본 및 자료들을 기증했다.
