포항해양경찰서(서장 한상철)는 28일 회의실에서‘연안해역 사망사고 Zero!’달성을 위해 ‘제3회 연안사고예방협의회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

협의회는 군부대, 교육청, 기상청, 지자체, 소방 소속위원과 한국해양교통안전공단, 어선안전조업국, 한국해양구조협회, 포항스틸러스 민간위원 등총 16개 기관이 참석하여 올해 연안 안전관리 추진 성과를 평가하고 연안사고 재발방지 정책을 논의했다.

올해 3분기까지 포항해경 관내 연안사고는 16건으로 최근 3년 동기 연 평균 31건 대비 48.4% 감소했다. 올해 발생한 연안사고 유형으로추락(방파제, 항포구 등) 7건, 익수 4건 순이며, 사고 시기는 8월 5건, 7월 4건 순으로 발생했다.

포항해양경찰서장은“연안사고예방협의회에서 논의된 내용으로 관계기관과 긴밀한 협력을 통해 국민이 안전하게 바다를 즐길 수 있는 연안해역을 만들겠다.”전했다.

 Pohang Coast Guard, ‘The 3rd Coastal Accident Prevention Council’ Meeting

The Pohang Maritime Police Station (Chief Han Sang-cheol) announced on the 28th that it held the ‘3rd Coastal Accident Prevention Council’ in a conference room to achieve ‘Zero Coastal Accident Accidents!’.

Until the third quarter of this year, there were 16 coastal accidents within the Pohang Coast Guard, a decrease of 48.4% from the annual average of 31 in the same period of the last three years. By type of coastal accidents that occurred this year, 7 cases of falls (breakwaters, port ports, etc.) and 4 cases of drowning occurred in the order of 5 cases in August and 4 cases in July.

The chief of the Pohang Maritime Police Station said, “Based on the content discussed at the Coastal Accident Prevention Council, we will work closely with related organizations to create coastal waters where people can safely enjoy the sea.”
