포항해양경찰서(서장 김형민)는 설 명절을 앞두고 20일부터 설맞이 ‘해양 안전관리 대책’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

포항해양경찰서는 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 지속에 따라 기본·생활방역을병행한 체계적인 해양사고 예방·대응을 통해 국민들이 안전한 설 명절을보낼 수 있도록 해양 안전관리를 강화할 방침이다.

주요 안전관리 대책으로는 ▲ 다중이용선박·연안 위험해역 안전관리 ▲ 해양경계 강화 및 대응체계 확립 ▲ 민생침해 해양범죄 집중단속 ▲ 해양오염 사고 예방·방제태세 유지 ▲ 공직기강 확립 등이 있다.

1월 20일부터 28일까지 해양 안전사고 예방을 위해 다중이용선박 및 레저사업장 안전계도·홍보, 연안해역 안전시설물 집중 점검 등 안전사고예방을 위한 활동을 하고, 1월 29일부터 2월 2일까지는 비상 상황대응 태세로 전환하여 설 연휴 기간 인명사고가 발생하지 않도록 총력을 기할 예정이다.

포항해경 관계자는“코로나19로 인해 힘든 상황 속에도 국민이 안전한 설 연휴를 보낼 수 있도록 해양 안전관리에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 전했다.
