울진군은 천혜의 자연이 살아있는 왕피천유역을 생태관광 중심지로 탈바꿈시키고자 2020년 공사에 들어간‘왕피천 자연생태체험단지(가칭)’추진에 박차를 가하고 있다고 21일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 왕피천유역 생태·경관보전지역 관리 기본계획에 반영되어 추진 중인 왕피천 자연생태체험단지는 금강송면 왕피리 왕피분교 건물을 리모델링하여 도농교류센터와 생태교육 및 체험시설을 조성하는 사업이며, 2020년 6월 기본 및 실시설계 용역을 완료하고 9월에 시설공사를 착공하여 현재 80%의 공정률로 2022년 6월 준공할 예정이다.

주요시설물로는 방문자센터(구, 도농교류센터) 1층에 안내센터 및 사무실·목공예 체험장을 만들고 2층에는 세미나실·체험실을 조성할 계획이며, 왕피천 자연학교(구, 왕피분교)는 특산물판매장·VR체험관·전시실·강의실·다목적실·어린이 실내놀이터 등으로 꾸미고 야외에는 주차장·휴게쉼터·숲 체험 모험시설(네트어드벤처)·생태탐방로·생태습지 관찰데크 등이 계획되어 있다.

향후, 시설물 명칭 공모로 시설명을 확정하고 시범운영을 통해 합리적인 운영방안을 모색할 계획이다.

이성호 환경위생과장은 “사업과 관련해 지역주민들의 의견을 지속적으로 경청하여, 울진군의 우수한 자연생태자원을 널리 알리고 지역 발전에 이바지하는 시설이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

 According to the county, the Wangpicheon Natural Ecology Experience Complex, which is being implemented after being reflected in the Wangpicheon Basin Ecology and Landscape Conservation Area Management Basic Plan, is a project to remodel the Wangpi branch school building in Wangpi-ri, Song-myeon, Geumgang to create an urban-rural exchange center and ecological education and experience facilities. After completing the monthly basic and detailed design services, construction of the facility will begin in September, and it is scheduled to be completed in June 2022 with a current 80% completion rate.

 As major facilities, it is planned to create an information center and office/woodwork experience center on the first floor of the visitor center (old, urban-rural exchange center), and a seminar room and experience room on the second floor. · VR experience hall, exhibition room, lecture room, multi-purpose room, children's indoor playground, etc. are planned outdoors, and parking lot, rest area, forest experience adventure facility (Net Adventure), ecological trail, and ecological wetland observation deck are planned.

 In the future, we plan to confirm the name of the facility through a facility name contest and seek a reasonable operation plan through pilot operation.
