최주원 전 경제국장 등 동구청 퇴직 공무원 10여 명은 28일 윤석준 예비후보에 대한 지지를 선언했다. 이날 동구청 퇴직 공무원들은 “윤석준 예비후보는 젊고 활기차게 동구를 이끌어 갈 수 있는 참신성과 역동적인 리더십을 지닌 후보”라며 “윤 후보는 주민을 섬기고 봉사하는 서번트 리더십을 통해 동구가 가야할 길을 명확하게 제시했다”고 지지 이유를 밝혔다.

같은 날 대구인문사회대학도 윤석준 후보에 대한 지지를 선언했다.지난 2015년 설립된 대구인문사회대학은 인문학을 열망하는 대구지역 CEO로 구성됐으며, 450명의 수료생을 배출시킨 시민대학이다.이날 윤석준 후보에 대한 지지 선언식에는 대구인문사회대학 김주순 이사장과 장영호 학장, 박호선 산악회장, 김규현 사무총장 등 20여 명이 참석했다.

대구인문사회대학 김주순 이사장은 “가장 모범적이면서 젊은 감각과 추진력을 가진 윤석준 후보는 인문학을 바탕으로 새로운 동구 발전 정책을 수립할 최고의 적임자로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.

동구청년단체 회원 20여 명도 이날 윤석준 후보에 대한 지지를 선언하며 힘을 보탰다. 동구청년단체 서형빈 대표는 “청년이 희망을 가질 수 있는 윤석준 후보의 동구 건설에 힘을 보태기로 했다”며 “동구의 속사정을 가장 잘 알고 오랫동안 동구를 위해 꾸준히 봉사해 온 윤석준 후보의 교육 공약과 젊은 인구 유입 정책이 반드시 성공할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

윤석준 동구청장 예비후보는 “많은 분들의 지지에 어깨가 무겁다. 50년 넘게 동구에서 살아온 토박이로서 두 번의 시의원을 지낸 경험과 젊은 감각으로 동구를 모두가 살기 좋은 도시로 혁신적으로 바꾸겠다”며 “추진력 있게 일하는 모습으로 반드시 보답하겠다”고 말했다.
