이번 의정연수는 제9대 울진군의회 개원함에 따라 주민을 대표하는 의원의 역량을 강화하고, 기본적인 소양과 의정활동과 관련된 전문 지식 함양을 통해 선진의정을 구현하고자 마련되었다.

특히 이해충돌방지법, 부패방지교육, 청탁금지법, 행동강령 등 법적의무교육도 실시함으로써, 의회의 청렴도 향상을 통해 주민에게 신뢰를 주는 의회를 만드는데기여할 것으로 기대된다.

임승필 울진군의회의장은“이번 의정연수는 청렴의식을 제고하고 조례안 심사,예·결산 및 행정사무감사를 위한 전문지식을 습득할 수 있는 귀중한 시간이었다”라면서“앞으로도 울진군의회는 군민의 행복 증진과 지역 발전을 위해, 군민을 대표하는 대의기관으로서 역할을 충실히 이행하는 의회가 되겠다”고 밝혔다.
