【브레이크뉴스 경주】박영재 기자=경주시는 아동에게 차별 없는 복지를 실현하고자 드림스타트 서비스 신규 아동 발굴에 행정력을 집중하고 있다고 26일 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 드림스타트 사업은 만0세부터 12세 이하의 복합적인 문제가 있는 취약계층 아동에게 맞춤형 통합서비스를 제공해 모든 아이들이 행복한 미래를 꿈꾸며 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다.

사업에 선정된 아동에게는 개별 심층사정을 통해 신체‧건강, 인지‧언어, 정서‧행동, 부모‧가족지원 등 분야별 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해 아동이 건강한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.

또한 초록우산 어린이재단 등 민간 후원기관과 함께 아동주거환경개선 사업, 위기가정 긴급지원, 장학금 제공 등 지역자원을 연계한 특화된 서비스도 제공하고 있다.

경주시는 드림스타트 신규아동 및 지역자원 발굴을 위해 다음 달 말까지를 집중 홍보기간으로 정하고 지역아동센터를 비롯한 사회복지시설, 학교, 어린이집, 프로그램 협력기관 등을 방문해 적극 홍보할 계획이다.

이와 함께 복지사각지대 중 선정 가능한 가구를 중심으로 읍면동행정복지센터를 통해 안내할 예정이다.

신규 대상 아동은 드림스타트 통합사례관리사가 신청 가정을 직접 방문해 초기 상담을 진행한 후, 내부 사례회의를 통해 선정 여부를 결정하게 된다.

김희경 아동청소년과장은 “아이들에게 관심을 갖고 지원하는 일은 경주시의 밝은 미래를 위해 매우 중요하고 필수적인 일이라고 생각한다”며 “모든 아이들이 평등한 출발선에서 미래의 꿈을 향해 첫 걸음을 걸을수 있도록 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

한편 경주시 드림스타트는 2020년 54명, 2021년 15명의 아동 발굴 등 현재 210명의 아동에게 통합사례관리 서비스를 지원하고 있다
