이번 세미나는 ‘영덕의 미래 먹거리사업’이라는 주제로 축산면 출신 고려대학교 법학전문대학원 김인현 교수의 사회로 진행됐다.

영덕 출신 상명대학교 디지털만화영상전공 김병수 교수의 ‘영덕 문화산업 발전 전략’, 울산테크노파크 에너지기술지원단 우항수 단장의 ‘울산지역 수소산업 육성전략’, 전국 최초 해상드론배송 상용서비스업체인 해양드론기술 황의철 대표의 ‘해상배상드론서비스 활성화와 스마트 항만관리’ 등의 주제발표가 이어졌다.

이어 영덕 출신의 능인대학교 박태원 교수가 좌장을 맡아 진행된 자유토론에서는 김종길 전 한양대 교수를 비롯한 영덕 출향인 출신의 석학들과 영덕군 김명중 기획예산실장 등의 군청 관계자들이 영덕군의 미래먹거리산업에 대해 진솔한 토론을 이어갔다.

특히, 줌(ZOOM) 영상회의를 통해 현장에 참여한 영덕군의회 김은희 군의원 등의 참여자들이 활발한 의견을 제시해 토론에 한층 열기를 더했다.

이번 세미나를 준비한 영덕발전연구회(회장 박영호, 전 영덕중․고 총동창회장)는 영덕군 출신의 석학들로 구성돼 지난 2020년 설립돼 매년 2회에 걸쳐 고향 영덕을 위한 교육발전 방안과 미래먹거리산업의 비전을 제시하고 있다.

김인현 고려대학교 법학전문대학원 교수는 “지난 10월에 이어 2개월여 만에 개최되는 세미나지만 그동안 회의를 지속하며 축적된 연구와 성과를 충분히 반영하기 위해 노력했다”며, “더욱 분발하여 영덕 출신 석학들이 순수한 애향의 마음으로 영덕발전을 위해 여러 제언을 할 수 있도록 공간과 네트워크를 구축해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
