지난 11일 열린 준공식에는 이태훈 달서구청장을 비롯한 구의원, 동 주민대표 등이 참석했다.
상원초교~장미아파트 간 도로확장사업은 전체 570m 중 2021년 10월 1단계 130m를 우선 완료했고, 2023년 4월 2단계 440m구간을 준공했다.
총 사업비 52억원이 투입되었으며 기존 8m도로를 15m로 확장해 보도와 노상주차장 165면 설치로 상원초교 어린이들의 안전한 통학로 제공과 지역 주차난 해소는 물론 도원지에서 앞산순환도로를 이용할 우회도로 확보에 따라 교통량 분산 효과로 월곡네거리의 상습정체 완화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이태훈 달서구청장은 “이번 사업으로 지역주민들게 보다 나은 도로환경을 제공 할 수 있어 기쁘며, 공사기간 불편을 감수하고 사업추진에 적극 협조하여 주신 지역 주민들께 감사드린다."며" 앞으로도 편리하고 안전한 도로환경조성을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하여 달서구를 명품도시로 만들어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
