21일 오후 2시 계명대 성서캠퍼스에서 홍석준 국회의원, 최미경 대구시 미래모빌리티 과장, 이재하 대구상공회의소 회장, 김기혁 대구교통공사 사장, 도건우 대구테크노파크 원장, 송규호 대구기계부품연구원장, 오세일 대구디지털산업진흥원 본부장, 임태호 지능형자동차부품진흥원 본부장, 배철용 한국자동차연구원 대경지역본부 실장 등 관련 기관장들과 지역의 모빌리티 관련 기업 에스엘 최병식 사장, 경창산업 강기봉 부회장 등이 참석한 가운데 대구 미래모빌리티산업 지역정주형 인재양성을 위한 협약식이 진행되었다. 

이번 협약은 지역 미래모빌리티 산업 분야의 지속가능한 발전을 위해 대구시와 대학, 기업 간의 협력체계를 구축하고, 지역과 함께 성장하는 지역정주 인재육성으로 지역자원의 통합을 이루기 위해 마련되었다.

계명대와 관련 기관 및 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲미래모빌리티 산학연연계교육과정 운영 ▲미래모빌리티 산학공동연구 및 기술개발 ▲미래모빌리티 재직자 교육 등 기업지원 ▲미래모빌리티 인프라 및 장비 공유 ▲기타 협약 당사자가 필요하다고 협의한 사항 등을 약속했다.

이와 함께 계명대는 ‘대구 미래모빌리티산업 스마트인재 양성교육의 요람’을 비전으로 지역의 미래모빌리티 산업 발전에 기여하기 위한 미래모빌리티 교육과정을 새롭게 개설했다.

또한 참여기업들과 참여학과 교수진으로 구성된 교육과정 운영위원회를 구성하고, 수요조사와 분석을 기반으로 교육과정을 개발해 운영한다는 계획이다. 이와 함께 타 대학 학생 및 교원이 참여하는 개방형 오픈캠퍼스도 운영할 예정이다.

신일희 계명대 총장은 “미래모빌리티 산업은 자동차에 국한된 산업이 아니고, 모든 산업이 집약돼 있는 기술과 문화가 결합된 형태의 확장된 개념으로 이해를 하고, 지방자치단체와 기관, 기업, 대학 등이 힘을 합친다면 그 발전 가능성은 무궁무진 할 것으로 예상된다.”며 “계명대는 지역이 필요로 하는 인재, 지역에서 일하고 싶어하는 인재를 육성하는 데 그 역할을 다하고, 지역과 함께 성장하고 발전하는 대학이 되기 위해 모든 역량을 다 하겠다.”고 말했다.
