【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=안동시 대표단(단장 권기창 시장)이 문화교류에 물꼬를 트기위해 일본의 교류도시 3곳을 방문한다고 밝혔다.

안동시 방문단은 문화 관광 교류에 박차를 가하고자 24일부터 29일까지 일본 사가에시, 가마쿠라시, 교토시를 방문한다고 24일 전했다. 

방문단은 가장 먼저 올해 파트너시티 체결 10주년을 기념해 가나가와현 가마쿠라시를 방문해 교류협력 및 교류확대 방안을 논의하고 이어 주 요코하마 대한민국총영사 접견해 양 도시 교류에 대한 적극적인 협조를 구할 예정이다.

또한 26일 세계역사도시연맹 회장도시이자 연맹사무국이 설치되어 있는 교토시를 방문해 2022년에 개최된 『제18회 세계역사도시회의』최종보고와 함께 기념 화보집을 전달한다. 

27일에는 자매도시인 야마가타현 사가에시를 방문해 2024년『자매도시 50주년 기념식전』의 성공적인 개최를 위한 50주년 기념행사 등 교류협력 방안에 대해 논의한다.

일본방문 기간 중 하천재생사업 사례인 수도(水都) 오사카 재생사업 현장과 교토시 세계유산 MICE 산업 활용사례, 교토 고가옥 마치야(町家) 활용 및 재생사업 등 안동시 문화·관광정책 관련 분야에 대한 선진지를 각 지자체 협력하에 살펴볼 계획이다.

안동시는 올 10월에 개최되는 ‘제10회 21세기 인문가치포럼’과 ‘안동 국제탈춤페스티벌’에 대한 홍보와 함께 각 도시 대표단들을 공식 초청할 계획을 전하기도 했다.

권기창 안동시장은 “일본방문을 통해 교류도시 간 우호관계를 더욱 돈독히 하고 다방면으로 교류를 확대 추진할 것”이라고 밝히며 “문화관광 분야 선진 사례를 안동시에 접목해 국제 관광도시로 거듭날 발판을 마련하겠다.”라고 전했다.
