군은 지난 6월 공모사업 신청 후 한국에너지공단의 공개평가, 현장평가, 총괄평가를 거쳐 최종 선정됐다.

군은 이번에 확보한 국비 5억, 시비 2억 등 총 사업비 12억원으로 관내 수용가 137개소(태양광 123, 지열 12, 태양열 2) 주택 및 건물에 579kW의 신재생에너지 발전설비 설치를 지원할 예정이다.

‘신재생에너지 융복합지원사업’은 특정 지역, 권역에 태양광, 태양열, 지열 등 2종 이상의 신재생 에너지원을 주택, 건물 등에 설치하여 전기와 열을 공급하는 사업이다.

군은 2020년부터 융복합지원사업을 통해 40억여원의 국·도비를 확보해 2년간 750개소의 주택 및 건물에 3,178kW의 신재생에너지 발전설비를 보급해 왔다.

김진열 군위군수는 “이번 공모사업 선정으로 지역 주민의 에너지 비용 절감 혜택뿐만 아니라 온실가스 감축을 통한 탄소중립과 에너지 자립도 향상에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 앞으로도 군민의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 지역 맞춤형 신재생에너지 사업을 지속 발굴하여 추진하겠다“고 말했다.
