이번 임시회에서는 도정질문, 2023회계연도 결산검사위원 선임, 각종 민생 조례안 등을 처리할 계획이다.

27일 제1차 본회의에서는 남영숙 의원(상주 1)이 5분 자유발언을 통해 자연재해 일상화에 따른 농작물 재해 대비와 영농지도방법 개선 등정책방향의 개선을 주문했다.

그리고, 경상북도와 경상북도교육청의 2023회계연도 결산검사를 위해 이선희(청도), 노성환(고령), 손희권(포항 9) 의원 등 도의원 3명과 세무사, 회계사 등 민간전문가를 포함한 10명의 결산검사위원을 선임할 계획이다.

4월 11일부터 4월 30일까지 실시되는 2023회계연도 결산검사는 재정집행의 적정성과 효율성 등 예산집행 전반에 대한 종합적인 검사가 될 것으로 기대된다.

3월 12일에 열리는 제2차 본회의에서는 각종 조례안과 동의안 등 18건의 안건을 처리 한 후, 오후 2시부터 정경민(비례), 강만수(성주), 김일수(구미 4) 의원이 도정질문에 나서 도정과 교육행정 전반에 대해 질문하고, 문제점에 대해 정책 대안을 제시할 예정이다.

배한철 의장은 개회사를 통해 “새해 업무보고에서 제시한 역점사업들이 조기에 성과를 낼 수 있도록 의회와 집행부가 각자의 역할에 충실해야 한다”며,“도민 안전과 직결되는 재해 및 재난업무 추진에 만전을 기하고, 늘봄학교의 안정적인 운영 준비와 2025 APEC 정상회의 경주유치를 위해 도의회와 집행부가 원팀이 되어 총력 대응할 것”을 당부했다.
