【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=KT&G 상상유니브 대구운영사무국은 지난 23일 대학생 역사 체험 프로그램인 ‘독립추리게임: 국채보상운동 완수작전’을 대구지방보훈청과 함께 개최했다고 25일 밝혔다.

이번에 진행된 ‘독립추리게임: 국채보상운동 완수작전’은 대구에서 최초로 시작된 주권수호운동인 국채보상운동을 바탕으로 기획됐다.

참가한 대학생들이 당시의 국민이 되어 역사적 사실과 관련된 미션을 해결하면 가상으로 만들어진 화폐 형태의 의연금을 받을 수 있고 이를 통해 국채를 갚아 나간다는 설정이다.

이날 참가자들은 공원 곳곳에 숨겨진 미션의 힌트를 파악하기 위해 역사적 사실을 알리는 안내판과 독립운동가들의 명언비 등을 둘러봤다. 이어 국채보상운동기념관과 도서관에 전시된 기록물들을 살피면서 17개의 미션을 모두 완수한 이들에게는 의연금이 지급됐다.

가상의 화폐를 획득한 참가자들은 독립운동과 관련된 퀴즈, 전통놀이 및 한복 체험 등이 마련된 부스로 이동해서 다양한 게임을 즐기며 의연금을 추가로 확보했다. 의연금을 넉넉하게 모은 참가자들은 교환소로 이동해 국채를 갚고, 보상으로 태극기가 그려진 캠핑테이블 등 다양한 상품을 받았다.

KT＆G 상상유니브 대구운영사무국 관계자는 “이번 프로그램을 통해 국채보상운동이 대구지역에서 처음 시작된 주권수호운동이고, 그 기록물이 유네스코 세계기록유산으로 등재 되어있다는 사실이 널리 알려지길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 대학생들이 지역의 역사적 문화 자산을 경험하고 인지할 수 있도록 다양한 체험활동을 비롯해 사회적 가치 창출 활동을 이어갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편 ‘상상유니브’는 지난 2010년부터 KT&G가 대학생들에게 다양한 경험과 배움의 기회를 제공하기 위해 운영해 온 대학생 종합커뮤니티로, 현재까지 누적 참여자수는 100만 명이 넘는다. 전국의 대학생들을 대상으로 하는 ‘상상마케팅스쿨’, ‘상상 블루파빌리온’, ‘상상 빌리지 페스티벌’ 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 대학생들이 성장할 수 있는 교류의 장을 제공하고 있다.

An official from the Daegu Operations Secretariat of KT&G Sangsang Univ said, “Through this program, we hope that it will become widely known that the National Debt Compensation Movement is a movement to protect sovereignty that first started in the Daegu region, and that its records are registered as a UNESCO Memory of the World Heritage.” “We will continue various experiential activities and social value creation activities so that college students can experience and recognize the region’s historical and cultural assets,” he said.
