평가는 안전에 대한 의지, 재난 발생 대비 상황, 안전 점검 활동 등 안전시책 추진 상황을 확인하기 위해 마련됐다.

분야는 ▲생활밀착형 안전시책 추진 ▲비상대비 역량강화 ▲시설물 선제적 안전관리 ▲재난 대응 역량강화 ▲중대재해예방 역량강화 등 5개다.

구는 '읍면동 스마트 복지안전 통합관리모델 구축사업'을 통해 생활밀착형 안전시책을 추진한 점이 높은 점수를 받았다. 재난 대응 역량을 강화하고 선제적 사고 예방에 기여한 점도 좋은 평가를 받았다.

윤석준 동구청장은 "구민의 안전을 위해 노력한 결과 2년 연속 최우수기관으로 선정되는 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있었다"며 "앞으로도 계속 매진하겠다"고 말했다.
