대한민국 안전대(大)전환은 지난 세월호 사고(2014년 4월 4일) 이후 안전운동 성격의 집중안전점검 도입, 2015년부터 정부·지자체·국민이 함께 참여해 우리 사회의 안전관리 실태를 점검하고 위험 요인을 발굴·개선하기 위해 매년 실시되고 있다.

경산시는 4월 22일부터 5월 19일까지 자체·합동안전 점검, 5월 20일부터 6월 2일까지자율 신고 실천 및 안전 문화 확산, 6월 3일부터 9일까지 확인 점검 등 후속 조치 강화, 6월 10일부터 21일까지 자율 점검 실천 4단계로 세부적으로 구분해 추진한다.
