이날 임용장을 받은 정책지원관은 2022년 1월 13일 시행된 지방자치법에 따른 ‘2024년도 제1회 영천시의회 임기제공무원 채용시험’을 통해 선발됐다.

정책지원관의 주요 업무는 의정활동 자료수집·조사·연구, 행정사무감사지원, 조례·예산안 심의·의결 지원, 조례안 작성 지원, 의원 연구단체지원, 의원의 서류제출 요구서 작성 및 관련 자료 종합·분석 지원 등 의정활동 지원 전반이다.

하기태 의장은 “앞으로 정책지원관으로서 우수한 역량과 전문성을 발휘해 주기 바란다”며 , “정책지원관 제도를 통해 입법 활동을 비롯해 의원의 다양한 의정활동 역량을 높이고 내실있는 의회 민주주의 발전을 끌어가겠다”고 말했다
