【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 학생상담센터가 신입생 대학 적응프로그램 ‘새내기 행복 길잡이’를 성황리에 마쳤다고 11일 밝혔다.

지난 3월부터 6월 7일까지 약 3개월간 진행된 이번 프로그램은 전문대학 혁신지원사업의 일환으로 신입생들이 새로운 변화에 따른 긴장과 불안요소를 줄이고 장기적인 대학적응과 사회적응력을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

대학생활 로드맵, 이미지메이킹, 심리검사를 활용한 커뮤니케이션, 셀프 리더십 프로그램 등으로 구성된 프로그램은 신입생들이 동기들과 빠르게 친목을 형성하고, 지도 교수와의 만남을 통해 학과에 대한 이해도를 높여 대학 적응을 할 수 있는데 중점을 뒀다.

운영 방식은 3단계로 먼저 1학년 전교생을 대상으로 대학적응검사를 실시하고 이후 30명 내외 규모로 진로탐색과 학업관리 등 특강을 진행했다. 이어 희망자에 한해 15명 내외의 소규모 집단상담과 개인상담을 실시해 대학 생활에 대한 심리적 지지와 개별 맞춤 상담을 제공했다.

2024학년도에는 세부 프로그램으로 ‘신입생 숏폼(동영상) 공모전’이 개최되었다. 주제는 ‘대구보건대학교, 우리 학과 소개’, ‘새내기로서 공감되는 내용’, ‘캠퍼스를 배경으로 한 숏폼 챌린지’로 학생들이 동영상을 제작하면서 대학에 애정을 가지도록 지원하고, 공모전 수상을 통해 한마음 한뜻으로 친목을 도모하는 것이 목적이다. 

행사를 주관한 학생상담센터 이현영 센터장은 “신입생들이 학교생활에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 학생상담센터에서는 개별 상담과 심리상담 프로그램으로 지속적인 관리를 하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 신입생들이 학업과 생활에서 성공적인 출발을 할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 프로그램을 운영해나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
