대구지방고용노동청에 따르면 폭염 ‘주의’ 영향예보가 발령되면 사업장에서는 근로자의 온열질환 예방을위해 매시간 10분 휴식을 제공하고, 무더위 시간대(14~17시) 옥외작업을 단축하는 등의 필요한 조치를 하여야 한다.

폭염에 따른 열사병, 탈진 등을 예방하기 위해서는 사업장에서 3대 기본수칙([실외]물·그늘·휴식, [실내]물·바람·휴식)을 준수하고, ‘온열질환’ 예방가이드‘에따라 자체 폭염 예방대책을 수립하여 폭염 단계별 대응조치를 이행하는 것이 필수적이다.
