이번 현장점검은 8월 착공 예정인 ‘자호, 현내 및 가사 자연재해위험개선지구 정비사업’의 추진상황을 점검하고 향후 개선사항과 발전 방향을 논의하고자 진행됐다.

포항시에서 추진중인 ‘자호, 현내 및 가사 자연재해위험개선지구 정비사업’은 1,016억 원의 사업비를 들여 하천 범람 등을 대비해 하천을 정비하는 사업이다.

각 사업은 △자호지구 하천정비 L=6.10㎞, 교량 12개소 재가설 등 △현내지구 하천정비 L=4.70㎞, 교량 8개소 재가설 등 △가사지구 하천정비 L=4.53, 교량 12개소 재가설 등이다.

해당 사업은 행정절차와 실시설계가 완료됐으며, 2028년 준공을 목표로 현재 건설사업관리용역 및 공사 계약을 추진중에 있다.

조민성 위원장은 “올여름에도 기상이변으로 많은 비가 예상되므로 우기 전 재해위험 요소를 사전 점검ㆍ조치해 수해 피해가 발생하지 않도록 현장관리에 만전을 다하고, 또 현장 근로자의 인명피해가 없도록 안전관리에도 철저를 기해달라"고 당부했다.
