【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교경주병원(병원장 정주호)은 지난 7월 18일 의과대학 2층 종합강의실에서 지역거점병원 추진상황 보고회를 개최했다고 19일 밝혔다.

이날 보고회에는 학교법인 이사장이자 건학위원장 운곡 돈관 큰스님, 이철우 경북도지사, 주낙영 경주시장 등 각급 기관장 및 교직원 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘지역의료의 중심, 함께하는 동국대학교병원’이라는 슬로건 아래 지역거점병원 도약 관련 성과 보고 및 향후 계획을 공유하는 자리를 가졌다.

부인과 복강경센터 개소, 중환자실 확장, 최첨단 의료장비(PEC-CT, 선형가속기, 다빈치 로봇수술기 등) 도입, 지역책임의료기관 지정, 수술실 증설, 권역정신응급의료센터 지정 등의 성과를 보고했다.

동국대학교경주병원은 호흡기·폐암센터 구축, 최신 듀얼-에너지 CT 도입, 감염병 치료병상 구축 및 중환자실 추가 증설, 응급의료센터 확장, 입원 병상 확충 계획 등 중진료권 책임 의료기관으로서 지역의료의 중추적인 역할을 위한 끊임없는 변화와 노력을 거듭하고 있다.
