【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시는 8월 5일부터 11일까지, 이탈리아 베네치아의 Ca'Maccana Atelier의 장인 Carlos Alberto Brassesco가 한국 안동 하회별신굿탈놀이 전수교육관에서 하회탈 마스크 공동개발 프로젝트를 진행한다고 7일 밝혔다.

안동시에 따르면 이번 프로그램은 양반탈과 부네탈을 중심으로 하며, 두 도시의 문화적 교류를 증진하기 위한 목적으로 마련됐다.

한국과 이탈리아 수교 140주년을 기념하는 사업의 일환으로, 양 도시가 함께 안동국제탈춤페스티벌에서 누구나 착용하고 즐길 수 있는 실용적인 베네치아식 하회탈을 개발하는 것이 목표다.

베네치아의 전통 마스크 제작기술과 한국의 전통 탈춤 문화를 융합해, 양국의 문화적 유산을 동시에 체험할 수 있는 특별한 콘텐츠가 될 것으로 기대된다.

시는 협업을 통해 만들어진 마스크를 서울 롯데월드에 위치한 국가유산 체험센터와 안동 하회별신굿탈놀이 상설공연장에 전시해 방문객을 대상으로 품평회를 개최할 예정이며, 방문객들은 직접 마스크를 착용해보고 의견을 나누게 된다. 품평회를 통해 수집된 의견을 최종 제품 개발에 반영해 안동국제탈춤페스티벌에서 전시 및 판매한다.

안동시 관계자는 “이번 공동개발 프로젝트는 단순한 기술 교류를 넘어양 국가의 문화적 유대감을 강화하고 두 나라 간의 예술적 협력을 증진하는계기가 될 것이며, 전통문화를 더욱 가까이서 체험하고, 새로운 문화적 가치를 창출하는 의미 있는 시간이 될 것이다”라고 밝혔다.
