【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=상서고등학교(교장 최우환)가 ‘제40회 대통령기 전국 탁구대회’에서 뛰어난 성적을 거뒀다.

지난 18일부터 22일까지 광주광역시 광주여대 유니버시아드 경기장에서 ‘제40회 대통령기 전국 탁구대회’가 열렸다.

이날 상서고는 여자고등부 단체전 우승, 개인복식 우승 및 3위, 개인단식 3위에 오르는 등 뛰어난 성적을 거두었다.

지난해 제39회 대통령기 전국탁구대회에서 3위에 입상한 상서고는 이번 대회에서 1회전 부전승으로 진출했다. 

8강 영천여고와 맞붙어 3:2로 승리했고 준결승에서 문산수억고를 3:1로 이겨 결승전에 진출했다. 

결승전에서는 대전 호수돈여고를 3:2로 꺾으며 2015년 제31회 대통령기 전국탁구대회 이후 9년 만에 정상탈환에 성공했다.

개인복식 우승을 차지한 문초원(2학년), 서현지(1학년) 선수는 16강 근화여고에 3:0 승리를 시작으로, 결승전 서울독산고와의 경기까지 단 1세트도 내어주지 않고 전 경기 3:0 이라는 우수한 실력으로 우승을 차지하며, 대회 2관왕을 달성했다.

조아라(2학년), 박예령(1학년) 선수는 개인복식 3위, 신다미(3학년) 선수는 개인단식 3위에 오르는 활약을 펼쳤다.

상서고 탁구부 주장 신다미 선수는 “앞으로 있을 전국체전에서도 좋은 결과를 얻기 위해 끝까지 노력하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 

최우환 교장은 “탁구부 지도교사들과 선수들의 노력이 우수한 성적으로 나타나 뿌듯하다. 우리 학생들이 좋은 환경과 체계적인 지도 시스템 아래 훈련에 매진할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다”라고 말했다.

In the finals, they defeated Daejeon Hosudon Girls’ High School 3:2, successfully reclaiming the top spot for the first time in 9 years since the 31st President’s Cup National Table Tennis Tournament in 2015.

Moon Cho-won (2nd year) and Seo Hyun-ji (1st year), who won the individual doubles, won the tournament with excellent performance, starting with a 3:0 victory over Geunhwa Girls’ High School in the round of 16 and not giving up a single set until the final match against Seoul Doksan High School, winning all matches with a 3:0 score, achieving two crowns in the tournament.

Jo A-ra (2nd year) and Park Ye-ryeong (1st year) placed 3rd in the individual doubles, and Shin Da-mi (3rd year) placed 3rd in the individual singles.

Shin Da-mi, captain of the Sangseo High School table tennis team, said, “I will do my best to achieve good results in the upcoming National Sports Festival.”

Principal Choi Woo-hwan said, “I am proud that the efforts of the table tennis team instructors and players have been reflected in excellent results. I will actively support our students so that they can devote themselves to training under a good environment and systematic guidance system.”
