【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 추석 연휴인 지난 14일부터 18일까지 5일간 경주 주요 관광지에 1일 평균 13만3886명, 총 66만9429명의 관광객이 다녀갔다고 19일 밝혔다.

세부적으로 살펴보면 △황리단길 32만417명 △대릉원 4만5531명 △봉황대 1만1012명 △첨성대 4만4818명 △불국사 24만7651명 등으로 집계됐다.

특히 황리단길은 연휴 기간 전체 방문객의 48%를 차지할 만큼 전국 각지에서 관광객들이 찾아와 가을 추억을 쌓았다.

이는 지역의 매력을 느낄 수 있는 한옥에 개성 있는 상점과 음식점이 빼곡히 들어서 있는 황리단길이 있는데다 인근에 대릉원, 첨성대, 동궁과월지, 교촌마을 등의 대표 문화관광 명소가 있어 관광객들의 발길을 이끈 것으로 보인다.

동궁과 월지 입장 전 ‘경주로ON’ 방문 리뷰로 제공되는 무료입장권 이벤트는 방문객들에게 작지만 소소한 행복을 선물했다.

보문관광단지 호반광장에서는 통기타, 트로트, 마술쇼, 비보이 공연을 포함해 민속놀이 경연대회, 즉석 노래자랑으로 즐거운 추억을 선사했다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “관광 1번지의 명성을 되찾은 추석 연휴였다”라며 “앞으로도 APEC 정상회의 성공개최, 경주로ON 등을 비롯해 방문객 편의 제공을 위한 인프라 구축에도 최선을 다해 관광객 5천만 시대를 맞이 하겠다”고 말했다.
