【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)은 ‘중소기업 사기충전(4대 기회)’을 모토로 하는 새로운 동반성장 브랜드의 세부 사업 가운데 ‘일어설 기회’의 하나로 ‘제2차 원전산업 전문인력 양성 지원사업’을 시행한다고 24일 밝혔다.
이 사업은 내년 체코 원전 최종 계약체결 등 해외 원전 시장의 확대에 따른 고급인력의 수요 증가에 대비해 원전 분야 중소·중견기업 재직자를 고급 원전 인력으로 양성, 원전 생태계 활성화에 기여하고자 시행하는 것이다.
이에 한수원은 정부(산업통상자원부)의 ‘첨단산업 석박사 전문인력 및 맞춤형 현장인력 양성 확대’ 정책에 발맞춰, 협력기업 직원을 대상으로 한국전력국제원자력대학원대학교(이하KINGS)의 2025학년도 석사 정규과정(원자력산업학, 에너지정책학)과 특별과정(원자력산업학) 등록금을 전액 지원해 원전 현장의 석사 전문인력 양성에 적극 나서기로 했다.
지원대상은 총 8명이며, 특히 한수원은 중소기업의 인건비 부담까지 덜어주기 위해 정규과정 전일제 교육기간의 급여도 월 최대 200만원까지 지원할 예정이다.
지원사업 참여를 원하는 중소·중견기업 재직자는 현재 진행 중인 2025학년도 KINGS 석사과정 신입생 선발에 합격한 이후 상생누리를 통해 ‘제2차 한수원 원전산업 전문인력 양성 지원사업’에 신청서를 제출하면 된다.
황주호 한수원 사장은 “우수한 잠재력을 보유한 원전 중소·중견기업 근로자가이번 원전 석사과정 수학을 통해 원전 생태계의 발전을 이끌어나가는 인재로 성장할 것으로 기대된다”며,“앞으로도 한수원은 민간기업의 끊임없는 성장을 적극 지원할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
한편, 한수원은 지난달 동반성장 브랜드 ‘사기충전’을 새롭게 론칭하고, 일어설 기회, 도전할 기회, 성장할 기회, 상생할 기회 등 모두 4가지 기회를 중소기업에 제공(충전)하는 동반성장 사업을 시행하고 있다.

Accordingly, in line with the government (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy) policy of ‘Expanding the training of advanced industry master’s and doctoral degree specialists and customized field personnel’, Hanwha decided to actively support the training of master’s degree specialists for nuclear power plant sites by fully supporting the tuition fees for the 2025 master’s regular course (nuclear industry studies, energy policy studies) and special course (nuclear industry studies) at the Korea Electric Power Corporation International Nuclear Graduate School (hereinafter referred to as KINGS) for employees of partner companies.
A total of 8 people are eligible for support, and in particular, Hanwha plans to support up to 2 million won per month for the full-time regular course training period to reduce the burden of labor costs for small and medium-sized businesses.
Employees of small and medium-sized businesses who wish to participate in the support project can submit an application for the ‘2nd Hanwha Nuclear Power Industry Specialist Training Support Project’ through Sangsaengnuri after passing the ongoing 2025 KINGS master’s course new student selection.
Hwang Ju-ho, CEO of Hanwha Solutions, said, “We expect that workers at small and medium-sized nuclear power plants with excellent potential will grow into talents who will lead the development of the nuclear power ecosystem through this master’s course,” and added, “Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power plans to continue to actively support the continuous growth of private companies.”
