경찰보안무도과 학과장 김미호 교수는 “경찰공무원시험 가산점 자격이자 보안회사 보안요원, 체육관 관장 및 사범으로 취업에 도움되는 합기도 단증 취득을 위해 학과 교육과정에 경찰무도과목(합기도, 유도, 경찰체포·호신술)을 집중 편성하고, 학과에서 무도단증 자격과정을 특별히 개설하여 적극 지원한 결과에서 기인한 것으로 많은 부상을 겪으면서 최종 결승까지 올라간 학생들의 노력의 결과여서 더욱 기쁘다”라고 축하의 말을 전했다.

Seonlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) Police Security Martial Arts Department Lee Seon-mi and Park Jae-hwan achieved the feat of winning silver medals in the Women's University General Division (Professional) Middleweight (Lee Seon-mi, 1st year) and Self-Defense (Park Jae-hwan, 1st year) at the 105th National Sports Festival Hapkido Competition held in Gimhae, Gyeongnam from the 11th.

Professor Kim Mi-ho, head of the Police Security Martial Arts Department, said, “This is a result of the students’ hard work, suffering from many injuries and making it to the finals thanks to their efforts, as the department focused on integrating police martial arts subjects (Hapkido, Judo, Police Arrest and Self-Defense) into the curriculum to help them acquire the Hapkido certificate, which is a qualification that gives extra points on the police civil service examination and helps them get jobs as security guards at security companies, gym managers, and instructors.
