【브레이크뉴스 구미】진예솔 기자=국립금오공과대학교(총장 곽호상)가 2024년 산학협력 우수사례 경진대회에서 기술협력분야 ‘최우수상(부총리겸교육부장관상)’을 수상했다고 7일 밝혔다.
산학협력 우수사례 경진대회는 전국의 대학 및 연구기관과 인력양성 등을 추진하는 단체 중 협력주체의 경쟁력 강화와 상생협력 생태계 조성에 기여한 기관을 선정하기 위해 열린다.
대회는 기술협력 및 인력양성 분야로 나뉘어 진행되며 1단계 서면 심사를 통해 2배수(수상후보 20개) 선정 후, 2단계 발표평가를 실시했다.
금오공대 산학협력단은 ICT융합특성화연구센터의 ‘특수목적 메타버스와 사용자 중심의 블록체인 기술 개발 및 상용화, 창업, 해외수출’사례로 기술협력분야에 최종 선정되었다.
ICT융합특성화연구센터는 ㈜엔에스랩과 함께 블록체인 기술기반의 퓨어월렛(Pure Wallet) 등을 통해 누적 수출 300만 불을 달성했으며, 혁신적인 기술개발과 실용적인 상용화의 우수 사례로 2022년 한국연구재단 우수성과 50선에도 선정된 바 있다.
김동성 국립금오공대 ICT융합특성화연구센터장은 "특수목적 블록체인 원천기술 사업화 등 다양한 프로젝트를 통해 산학연관군의 협력을 강화하고, 수요기반의 연구 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 하겠다”며 “앞으로도 우수한 전문연구인력 양성과 혁신적인 기술개발을 통해 사회적 가치를 창출하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Kumoh National Institute of Technology Industry-Academic Cooperation Group was finally selected in the technology cooperation category with the ‘Special Purpose Metaverse and User-Centered Blockchain Technology Development and Commercialization, Startup, and Overseas Export’ case of the ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center.
The ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center, together with NS Lab Co., Ltd., has achieved a cumulative export of 3 million dollars through Pure Wallet, a blockchain technology-based product, and has also been selected as one of the 50 best achievements of the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2022 as an excellent example of innovative technology development and practical commercialization.
Kim Dong-seong, the director of the ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center at Kumoh National Institute of Technology, said, "We will strengthen cooperation between industry, academia, and research groups through various projects such as commercialization of special-purpose blockchain source technologies, and create demand-based research results." He added, "We will continue to do our best to create social value through fostering excellent professional researchers and developing innovative technologies."
