고령군 최초로 시행하는 이번 요금 인하는 대구-경북 공동생활권 표준요금을 관내에 적용함으로써 군민의 교통비 부담을 완화하고 대중교통 이용을 활성화하고자 군 종합교통발전위원회 심의를거쳐 결정됐다.
구체적으로 살펴보면 일반은 현행 1,500원을 유지하고, 중·고생은 현 1,200원에서 850원으로, 초등생은 현 800원에서 400원으로 각각 인하된다.
또한 거리당 구간요금을 폐지하고 환승할인을 신설하여 기본요금만 내고 목적지까지 이동할 수 있는 도시형 요금체계를 갖추게 된다.
