15일 시에 따르면 청년 신혼부부 월세 지원사업은 경상북도가 발표한 저출생과의 전쟁 100대 실행 과제 중 하나로, 높은 주거비 부담을 완화하기 위해 월세로 납부한 비용 일부(최대 월 30만 원)를 지원하는 사업이다.

지원 대상은 부부 모두 19~39세(2024년 신청 기준)인 자로, 신청일 기준 혼인 신고일 5년 이내, 부부 합산 연소득 6천만 원 이하, 경상북도 내 임차보증금 5천만 원 이하이면서 월세 80만 원 이하의 주택에 월세로 거주하고 주민등록 주소를 둔 무주택 신혼부부다.

신청 방법은 경상북도 주거복지 시스템을 통해 온라인으로만 신청 가능하며, 요건을 충족하는 경우 6개월 단위로 최대 2년간 지원받을 수 있다.

조현일 경산시장은 “젊은 세대 신혼부부들의 주거비용 부담을 최소화하고 안정적인 주거환경을 조성하며, 아이를 낳고 키우기 좋은 여건 마련에 앞장서겠다”며 “많은 청년 신혼부부들이 적극 신청해 지원받기를 바란다”고 말했다.
