【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=윤석준 대구 동구청장이 2022년 6월 1일 치러진 제8회 전국동시지방선거 과정에서 정치자금법을 위반한 혐의로 당시 회계 책임자였던 A씨(동구청 민원비서관)와 함께 재판을 받게 됐다.

지난 25일 대구지검 공공수사부(김정옥 부장판사)는 윤 구청장과 A씨(동구청 민원비서관)를 정치자금법 위반 혐의로 불구속 기소했다.

A씨는 2022년 6‧1 지방선거 당시 선거관리위원회에 자격 신고를 하지 않고 일정 기간 회계 책임을 맡아 활동하면서 미신고 계좌에서 선거비용을 지출한 혐의를 받는다.

수사 당시 윤석준 동구청장은 “A씨의 단순 실수로 벌어진 일이며 이후 정상적으로 신고를 마쳤고, 미신고 기간 운영비 지출에 대해서도 자진 신고했다”고 밝혔다.

공직선거법 상 회계책임자가 정치자금법 49조 선거비용관련 위반행위로 징역형 또는 300만원 이상의 벌금형의 선고를 받으면 선출직 공직자의 당선을 무효로 한다.

선출직 공직자는 정치자금법 49조 선거비용관련 위반행위로 징역 또는 벌금 100만 원 이상 형이 확정되면 당선무효로 직을 상실하고 5년간 선거권‧피선거권이 박탈된다.

If an elected public official is sentenced to imprisonment or a fine of 1 million won or more for violating Article 49 of the Political Funds Act regarding election expenses, the elected public official loses his/her position as the election is invalidated and the right to vote or be elected is revoked for 5 years.
