【브레이크뉴스 영양】이성현 기자=영양군여성단체협의회(회장 이옥화)는 지난 11일 안동 스탠포드호텔에서열린 2024년 여성단체 사업평가회에서 2개 부문에 걸쳐우수상을 수상했다.

12일 영양군에 따르면 경상북도여성단체협의회가 주관한 이번 평가회는 2024년한 해 동안도내 여성단체의 활동 내역과 참여 실적 등을 종합적으로 검토하여 우수활동 단체를 선정하고 공로를 인정하기 위해 마련되었다.

영양군여성단체협의회는 이날 평가회에서 활동평가 우수상 및 여성단체 발전기금 사업부문 우수상을 수상하는 영광을 안았다.

영양군여성단체협의회는 1987년 3월 설립하여 관내 12개 단위 단체 2,000여 명의 회원으로 구성된 영양군 대표 여성단체로 연간 사랑의 반찬 배달 지원 사업을 주 1회 추진하고 있으며, 홀로 어르신 생신상 지원 사업, 여성지도자 역량강화 워크숍, 양성평등 주간 기념 행사등을 주관하며 여성의 권익증진과 지역사회 발전을 위해 힘써 왔다.

특히 영양군여성단체협의회는 올해 7월 특별재난지역으로 선포된 입압면수해 현장에소속 단체 회원들이 긴급 자원봉사에 동참하여 가재도구 정리, 구호물품 전달, 세탁봉사 지원 등 피해 복구 활동을 적극적으로전개하며 지역 내 우수 봉사단체로 인정받고 있다.

이옥화 협의회장은 “회원들의 적극적인 협조로 올 한 해 지역사회에 보탬이 되기 위해 노력한 일들이 좋은 결실을 맺어 큰 보람을 느낀다”며“내년에도 회원들과 의미있는 봉사활동을 이어가며 지역사회 내 우수봉사단체로 자리매김 하겠다”고 말했다.

오도창 영양군수는 “영양군여성단체협의회의 우수상 수상을 진심으로축하드린다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 공동체를 위해지속적인 사회공헌 활동을 해 주시길 당부드린다”고 전했다.

Yeongyang-gun Women's Organization Council (Chairman Lee Ok-hwa) won an excellence award in two categories at the 2024 Women's Organization Business Evaluation held at the Andong Stanford Hotel on the 11th.

According to Yeongyang-gun on the 12th, this evaluation, hosted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Women's Organization Council, was organized to comprehensively review the activities and participation performance of women's organizations in the province for the year 2024, select excellent activity organizations, and recognize their achievements.

Yeongyang-gun Women's Organization Council was honored to receive the Excellence Award in Activity Evaluation and the Excellence Award in the Women's Organization Development Fund Project category at the evaluation held that day.

The Yeongyang-gun Women's Association was established in March 1987 and is a representative women's association in Yeongyang-gun with approximately 2,000 members from 12 groups in the area. It carries out the annual Love Side Dish Delivery Support Project once a week and has been working hard to promote women's rights and develop the local community by hosting events such as the Birthday Support Project for Elderly Living Alone, Capacity Building Workshops for Women Leaders, and Gender Equality Week Commemorative Events.

In particular, the Yeongyang-gun Women's Association has been recognized as an excellent volunteer group in the region by actively carrying out disaster recovery activities such as organizing household items, delivering relief supplies, and supporting laundry services at the flood site in Ipap-myeon, which was declared a special disaster area in July of this year.

Council Chairperson Lee Ok-hwa said, "Thanks to the active cooperation of our members, our efforts to contribute to the local community this year have borne fruit, and I feel a great sense of accomplishment," and added, "We will continue meaningful volunteer activities with our members next year and establish ourselves as an excellent volunteer group in the local community."

O Do-chang, the governor of Yeongyang County, said, “I sincerely congratulate the Yeongyang County Women’s Organization Council on receiving the Excellence Award,” and added, “I ask that you continue to engage in social contribution activities for the local community and society in the future.”
