【브레이크뉴스 경북】박영재 기자=주낙영 경주시장이 대구경북인터넷기자협회로 부터 대구경북 기초단체장 부문 ‘우수 행정 CEO’에 선정됐다.

18일 경주시에 따르면 대구경북인터넷기자협회가 주관한 이번 시상은 대구경북 지역 기초자치단체장을 대상으로 공약이행률, 재정 효율성, 주민 만족도 등을 중심으로 평가해 주어지는 상이다.

주 시장은 △2025년 APEC 정상회의 유치 △차세대 원자력산업 발전 △e-모빌리티 연구단지 구축 △어려운 서민경제 안정화 △황리단길 조성 △통합 모바일 관광앱 경주로ON 출시 등의 공로를 인정받았다.

경주는 올 6월 삼국통일 이후 최대 성과라 평가받는 2025년 APEC 정상회의를 유치했으며, 지난달 28일에는 APEC 정상회의 지원 특별법이 국회 본회의를 통과했다.

차세대 미래형 원자로인 SMR을 본격적으로 연구‧개발하는 문무대왕과학연구소와 이를 제조‧수출하는 SMR 국가산단 조성 사업을 추진해 차세대 원전산업 메카로 발돋움하고 있다.

지역 뿌리산업인 자동차제조업이 자동차산업 패러다임 변화에 대응할 수 있도록 미래차 첨단소재 성형가공센터와 탄소소재 부품 리사이클링센터 등 기술 지원 기반을 구축해 왔다.

중심상권 르네상스 사업의 지속적 추진과 경주페이 활성화, e-커머스‧온라인 플랫폼 판로 지원, 전통시장 환경개선으로 서민과 소상공인 모두 활력을 되찾을 수 있도록 지원했다.

황리단길은 한옥에 대한 건축 행정절차 간소화, 보행 친화 거리 조성, 대릉원 입장료 폐지 등 행정적‧재정적 뒷받침으로 사계절 내내 많은 인파가 몰려드는 전국 최고의 명소로 자리 잡았다.

지난해 9월에는 ‘경주로ON’ 모바일 앱 하나로 숙박, 교통, 체험, 맛집의 예약과 결제가 한 번에 가능한 통합 관광 플랫폼을 출시했다. 여기에 4개 국어로 서비스를 제공해 해외 관광객들까지 이용 가능해졌다.

Mayor Joo Nak-young of Gyeongju was selected as the ‘Excellent Administrative CEO’ in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk basic government head category on the 17th.

Mayor Joo Nak-young of Gyeongju said, “I am honored that the projects that Gyeongju City has focused on this year have been selected for awards hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Internet Journalists Association,” and added, “I will do my best to fulfill my duties by taking this as a whip from the governor to work harder for the development of Gyeongju.”
