2일 경북도에 따르면 예산이 확보된 주요 세부 사업은 ▴노후상수도정비사업 ▴농어촌생활용수개발사업 ▴하수처리장확충사업 ▴하수관로정비사업 ▴농어촌마을하수도정비사업 ▴도심침수대응사업 등이다.

도는 올해 지역 밀착형 생활 SOC 사업에 포함된 노후상수도정비사업과 하수관로정비사업에 집중적으로 투자해 깨끗한 물 공급과 안전한 우·오수 처리로 지역 물 관리가 크게 개선될 것으로 보인다.

‘노후상수도정비사업’은 포항시 등 16개 시군 20개소에 복잡한 상수도관을 계층별로 분할 관리하는 블록시스템 구축, 누수탐사, 노후관 교체, 유지관리시스템 도입 등의 신기술을 적용해 지방상수도 유지관리의 선순환 구조를 구축한다.

이번 사업으로 상수도 분야의 고질적인 누수와 수질 안정성 우려 등 수도시설 관리 전반의 문제를 상당 부분 개선할 것으로 기대된다.

‘하수관로정비사업’은 포항시 등 15개 시군 54개소에 기존하수관로를 정비하고 우·오수 분리 관로를 설치해 생활하수는 하수처리장으로 이송하고 우수는 인근 하천으로 신속히 배제한다.

사업을 통해 하천 수질오염을 방지하고 악취·해충으로 인한 주민 불편이 상당 부분 개선될 것으로 보인다.

아울러 ‘농어촌생활용수개발사업’을 통해 지방상수도 급수구역 확장에 집중해 현재 94.9%인 상수도 보급률을 2030년까지 96% 수준으로 높인다.

하수도 보급률이 낮은 시군은 ‘면단위하수처리장설치’와 ‘농어촌마을하수도정비’에 집중해 현재 86.7%인 하수도 보급률을 2030년까지89% 수준으로 높여 안전하고 청결한 하수처리로 지역 주민 삶의 질을 개선하는 데 최선을 다할 계획이다.
